Meet the Saddlerettes!

Everyone who works here is involved in horses in one way or another, creating a melting pot of equine knowledge and experiences to relate you to and your relationship with your horses.  We own horses, we show horses, we know horses.

Maria & Flash

Maria has working at the Saddler since 2003 when the store was still located in Altamonte Springs.  She helped to pioneer our new Sanford location and saw many changes to the layout of the store,  items, employees, and now ownership over the years.

Maria grew up showing in the POA circuit until she graduated high school.  She is pictured here with her POA soul mate Flame n' Flash who has unfortunately passed on.  In college she switched disciplines to ride and compete in saddleseat shows in north Florida and Georgia.  After graduating college, Maria came back to riding hunter and competed in the Horse Shows in the Park show series.

Maria is still dreaming of her first horse.

She'll get him someday!

Kristi & Bella

Kristi joined the Saddlerettes in the fall of 2004 just after the store moved from Altamonte Springs. With a love of organization, she assisted Maria in most of the layout assembly of the sales floor. She has also spearheaded the majority of the informational material you now see located throughout the store.

Coming from a horsey family, Kristi began her equine love affair at an early age. She did mostly trail riding but English lessons were always a must. Family troubles forced her to sell all but one pony during high school, but soon after graduation she began rebuilding her herd. Rescues have always been close to Kristi’s heart and in 2005 she decided to embrace Pat Parelli’s philosophy on horsemanship – which has proven invaluable. She is pictured here with one of her rescues, a POA named “Ciao Bella” at their show debut in 2007 at Clarcona Horseman’s Park.

Kristi currently owns & manages Maplewood Farms, a Parelli friendly boarding facility in Geneva, FL.
